The laser system for wheelset measurement is designer for monitoring of wheelset Wheel profile wear. The system consists of the modules installed in tracks and providing the following functions:
- Vehicle and wheelset identification.
- Data collection and processing with optimisation of wheel profile machining.
- Full communications with Undefloor Wheel Lathe.
The wheel measurement is carried out on a vehicle running with the maximum speed of 10 km/h. The scope of measurements can include the following parameters:
- Full wheel tread profile.
- Wheel flange height.
- Wheel flange width.
- Wheel flange inclination qR.
- Wheel tread diameter.
- Wheelset back to back distance
- Distance between active surfa ces.
